Terms of Service

Last updated: May 7, 2026

These Terms govern your use of LiteLedger. LiteLedger is operated by LiteLedger Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company. Where these Terms refer to "we" or "us," they mean LiteLedger Inc.

By creating an account or using LiteLedger, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

LiteLedger provides job costing and business management tools.

You agree to use the service for legitimate business purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Attack, probe, or attempt to bypass security or access controls
  • Scrape, harvest, or overload the service in a way that interferes with others
  • Share credentials or invite misuse of accounts (for example selling access or evading limits)
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where the law clearly allows
  • Use the service in any way that is unlawful, abusive, or materially disruptive

You are responsible for reviewing and validating operational and business decisions you make using LiteLedger. Outputs, summaries, and calculations are aids only—not a substitute for your own judgment, professional advice, or internal controls.

2. Accounts and Organizations

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activity under your account
  • Providing accurate information

Each organization using LiteLedger designates administrators who manage users, access, roles, and related settings. Admins are responsible for how their organization uses the service, including invitations and permissions.

3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Access

LiteLedger is a paid subscription service (with trial or promotional access when we offer it).

  • Billing is handled through Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • You are responsible for managing your subscription

We may restrict, suspend, or end access when a trial ends, payment fails, or the account is otherwise not in good standing. Restrictions are applied in line with how the product is built (for example read-only or billing prompts)—details may evolve as we improve the service.

4. No Per-User Pricing

LiteLedger pricing is based on overall usage and plan design, not a strict per-seat meter.

We may review accounts that show excessive, abusive, or clearly unintended usage patterns and work with you to a fair arrangement—including plan changes or other limits—without turning everyday teamwork into a pricing trap.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of your data.

You grant us permission to store and process your data to operate the service.

We do not sell your data.

You are responsible for maintaining exports, backups, or records you consider business-critical. LiteLedger is not an archive of last resort—plan for what you need if you leave the service or lose access.

6. Availability and Disclaimers

We aim to keep LiteLedger available and reliable.

However, the service is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected within a specific time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement) except where the law does not allow that disclaimer.

We may perform maintenance or updates at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiteLedger Inc. and its directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption—whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise—even if we have been told such damages are possible.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100) or (b) the fees you paid to LiteLedger Inc. for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum the law permits.

8. Termination

You may stop using LiteLedger at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Payment fails or access is not authorized under billing rules
  • The service is misused or we need to protect security or other users

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts located in Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
