LiteLedger (we, our, or us) is the public-facing name for our job costing software for fabrication and job shops. LiteLedger is operated by LiteLedger Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we handle it.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Organization name

Business Data

  • Jobs, customers, purchase orders, time entries, and other data entered into LiteLedger

Billing Information

  • Payments are processed through Stripe
  • We do not store full credit card details

Technical Information

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Logs and diagnostics for security, reliability, and performance (for example error monitoring)
  • Session and usage signals needed to run and improve the product

Analytics and similar tools

  • Microsoft Clarity, to understand how the product and marketing pages are used
  • Google Analytics, when we enable it for a deployment

These tools may set cookies or similar technologies and collect technical or usage information according to their own policies.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate and maintain LiteLedger
  • Manage user accounts and authentication
  • Process subscriptions and billing
  • Send transactional emails (account, password reset, etc.)
  • Provide support
  • Maintain system security and performance

We do not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers.

3. Data Storage and Security

We use modern cloud infrastructure and reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Secure connections (HTTPS)
  • Access controls
  • Environment-based configuration

No system is completely secure, but we aim to maintain a high standard.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of providers (specific vendors may change over time):

  • Stripe for payments
  • Vercel for hosting
  • Neon for database infrastructure
  • Resend for email delivery
  • Microsoft Clarity and, when enabled, Google Analytics
  • Error monitoring and related operational tools

These providers may process or store information on our behalf, including outside Canada, as described in their own terms and privacy notices. We rely on them only where needed to operate LiteLedger.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active.

You may request deletion of your account and data. Deletion is not always immediate: it may take time to work through backups, caches, and provider systems. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before they age out.

Some records may be kept longer where we reasonably need them for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
